First commissioned by Basit Jamu for the Selves: Afro Anthology of Creative Non-Fiction, my essay, Monstrous, was then published on Catapult, and was a finalist for the 2019 Gerald Kraak Award.
The resulting anthology, The Heart of the Matter: The Gerald Kraak Award Anthology Volume III , has just been announced as a finalist for a LAMBDA on Oprah Magazine.
